Practice #2

   

A Mystery Trip…

VBC hosted a “Mystery Adventure” on MLK Day.

We had no idea where we were going…

but were excited to be with friends!!!

The adventure took us to Guthrie.

But what we do?!?

 

First, we saw the MLK Parade…

with marching bands…

and lots of candy!!!

Balloons…

and lunch at the Train Depot!!!

Then BOWLING…

and of course…MORE CANDY!!!

We ended the gorgeous day at a fabulous park with treats from Sonic…too bad my camera and my body both ran out of energy!!!

What a great day!!!

Day 14

This year, a friend encouraged me to join her in taking a picture a day for an entire year.  I jumped at the challenge and thought it would not be difficult, since I almost always carry my camera.  However, the “almost” attached to the always has made this more difficult than I had imagined. 

On Monday, we meet friends at the park and due to a lazy funk that had overcome me, I choose not to bring my camera…I did not forget it, I just did not want to bring it.  The kids had a blast playing with the little pile of snow that had yet to melt.  There were snow ball fights, attempts at snow angels, wet gloves, red noses and sooo much laughter and fun captured only with my fading memory!!!  That day, I did not take one picture and had to post a picture Gideon had taken the day before!!!

Tonight, at 8:45pm, I remembered I had forgotten…again!!!  I quickly grabbed my camera and began taking pictures of Emme playing on the computer…since that meant I could remain in the comfort of my bed!!!  After 45 pictures, lots of deleting and editing…this was the result!!!

I am not sure why…but I think it is one of my favorite pictures…at least this year!!!  Check out my 365 adventure at What A Treasure!!!

A Playdate…

 

Due to the bad weather and school cancelation, we missed A’s Birthday Party.  Sooo, A came to our house today for a playdate.  Normally, I never schedule playdates at our home due to the limited space in our apartment.  Today, I caved, but also discovered that playdates do have there advantages.  I cleaned the apartment, reorganized toys and had some free time to surf the net!!!  Happy Birthday A!!!
