Life…
Today is so not my day and it is not even 9am!!! In an attempt to empty his water bottle, Gid poured water all over the cabinet creating a nice lake in the kitchen; he forgot his lunch box, turned everything he touched into a sword going around the house making swishing noises. Emme was determined to finish a book making any task 6xs slower than necessary...while the clock is doing triple time making the minutes fly by until we are late. We make it to school to find the tiny street full of cars and the huge school bus attempting to park...blocking traffic going in both directions for what felt like 10 minutes. By this time...I totally lost it!!! So my apologies to all the sweet people who saw my melt down!!! I am now headed out for some retail, food and friend therapy. Praying that by 3:15 I will be ready to apologize to the sweet bus driver and teach my son some ways to be organized.
The day took a turn for the better. I accomplished all my shopping goals, had a fun lunch with Maria Krylova and an amazing "boost" shake {My new fave!}, received tulips from Ruth Frans and gave a candy bar to the bus driver who I yelled at this morning, promised I would be more patient tomorrow and gave him a hug!!!

Emme…
Dinner guests tonight. Emme was such a fun, great help! She made cookies, garlic bread and salad…which she said made her miss Granny even more. She said, "I am so glad we didn't just buy salad...then we wouldn't had so much time to talk!"

Banya…
Our family has been battling sickness, celebrating Birthdays, working on relationships, lots of homework, hosting 100 singing women from Georgia and just trying to keep up with life! Today, Emme and I joined some friends at the Banya and I literally felt my stress melt away!!! We sweat, scrubbed, swam, massaged, relaxed and had such a sweet time. We left the underground Banya to discover a beautiful, sunshiny day!!!

I Am Going To Live!!!
For 3 days, my throat has been on fire. Sunday I considered just going ahead and dying. My sweet Russian friend told me that being buried is to expensive and I should try to sell my body to a museum or a university to save Keith the funeral costs! Today, I went to the doctor. I dried my hair, which I almost never do any more, so wet hair would not be to blame. I wrapped a scarf around my neck, put on a coat, hat and gloves…so dressing improperly would not contribute to further illness. In 32 minutes, I was registered, poked, prodded, analyzed, consulted, prescribed, scheduled a follow-up, paid, purchased a list of medicines, bought a milk shake and was safely home rejoicing that I could remove “sell body to museum/university” from my to do list! I love that there is almost never a wait at my neighborhood, private clinic; they do not humiliate you by making you stand on a scale; and do not ask you to fill out lengthy medical history forms or ask you to repeat your symptoms to 14 people before actually seeing the doctor. I did have to chuckle when part of the prescription included forbidding showering, bathing, washing my hair {gross and so not going to happen} or exercise {which I translated to mean going to the grocery store, cooking or cleaning} until my Friday follow-up appointment. I also loved the fact that the lady that should have been waiting behind me loved me so much, she preferred to stand right next to me at the window…so close she was touching me!!! You gotta love Russia!!!
