IMG_6241IMG_6243IMG_6245

Anna Skinner is here (happy dance!!!)…in St Pete and today came with Tina is get ready for the Prom.  This gave me the very good excuse to chauffeur them to the Prom and “help” them get ready.  I loved getting to take a peek at what High School life is like and get to spend some time with Anna catching up!!!

MEGA…

We left early this morning for MEGA Mall with a long list of things to accomplish…and after 6 hours of shopping had marked everything on the list!!!  We ended the long day with a fun ride on the carousel…can’t you see Keith’s excitement!!! ;-)

Pampering…

I decided to celebrate the end of a very rough year with a day of pampering.  After a fabulous massage, I met up with some other IA moms for manis and pedis.  We had lots of time to chat, due to a typical Russian schedule conflict, and great looking nails!!!  What a fun way to end my last week of freedom!!!

What Cute Kids!!!

IMG_5954

I have been working on an end of the year school project.  Emme graduates from Kindergarten and another school year comes to an end soon…looking back always fills me with emotion!!!

I am soooo thankful I get to hug these two every morning and snuggle with them each night!!!

Secondhand Sale…

Emme is modeling her darling find from IA’s Secondhand Sale.  Once a year, IA gives families the opportunity to have an American Garage Sale experience.  There are no garages in Russia and therefore no Garage Sales, but IA rents tables or classrooms for families to sale their unwanted treasures.  We got lots of great things…clothes, books, Star Wars Legos, Webkins and even Wii Guitar Hero!!!

Silliness!!!

IMG_5946e

We made it home from Bositagorosk at 1AM last night.  Since we had planned to return today and the kids had already finished all their school assignments for today, we decided to skip school and have a Pajama Party day.  Emme slept until 10:30 and we spent the rest of the day watching movies, playing and hanging out.  Some how our trip to Disney World became a topic of discussion and how we wrote our cell numbers on the kid’s bellies incase we got separated…and this ended up being the result.  I drew a cute summer scene on Emme but she fell asleep before I could take a pic. :-)

Boksita-what?!?

We joined Keith on his monthly adventure to Bositogorsk.  It is a little town 3 hours east of Saint Pete, but some how it took us 6!  Keith introduced us to lots of great people and we got to enjoy more shashlik!!!

IMG_5826IMG_5827IMG_5829IMG_5860IMG_5834IMG_5837IMG_5847IMG_5864IMG_5851IMG_5866IMG_5888IMG_5893IMG_5858IMG_5899IMG_5904IMG_5921IMG_5941IMG_5923

Keith and Emme could have moved to Bositagorosk and been totally content.  Emme added 5 new people to her “best friend” list, climbed her first tree and was covered in dirt by the end of the day.  Gid and I, however, struggled a little with giving up the comforts of city-life…even if it was only for 36 hours!!!  I had to trade my morning yummy coffee for instant, Gid replaced the Wii for his DSi, but we all had a great time!!!

Observation:  Russian roads are brutal, traffic is horrible, but Russia countryside is gorgeous!!!  I must agree with Dorothy, however, there is no place like home…no matter where you live!!!
