Every morning, I become Gideon's personal cheerleader. I pick up my pom-poms (OK, not literally) and tell him what a fun day he will have at school playing with his friends. On the way to school, we pray for his time at school and I patiently answer all of his questions and try to address all of his concerns. On a bad day when no cheer I have said gives him the courage he needs to go to school, I resort to "all little boys go to school, so you have to too!" (He doesn't know yet about home school!) Keith's daily words of wisdom, "Eat your lunch fast so we can go home fast!"
We recently discovered that Gideon's school is considered an Orthodox Christian school. There are icons in the classrooms, the kids pray together before meals and have a morning time of prayer or quiet time. Please pray as the Lord leads for Gideon and his school, the International Waldorf School.
