The Birthday Cake

I have never claimed to be Martha Stewart or for that matter creative, crafty or even a good cook! Gideon requested an orange Birthday cake. In my hidden stash of cake mixes the only white one was an angel food cake~just add water and it is naturally fat free! Even though it exploded in the oven, we had to cover it with cool whip to try and hide the pink votive candles (the only candles we had in the house) and it was actually more peach than orange, everyone really enjoyed it! I was a little sad that we did not invite any friends over, but was glad we didn't have to share the cake!!!
