Welcome!!!

We are so thankful to be apart of Boo Mama's Christmas Home Tour and thrilled that you stopped by!!! This has been an unusual and some what difficult Christmas season for us. We have been living in Russia for the last 7 years. Our home and all of our stuff is in Russia, including all of our precious Christmas decorations. This summer, we came to the states for a vacation...that never ended!!! While in the states, we discovered that our son has some learning disabilities and it was recommended we not return to Russia. This was a huge, unexpected shock, but in the midst of it all we have seen God at work and experienced His riches blessings. In August, we had no idea where we would live, yet God provided a lovely home for us to live in. We did not have a car, again God provided. We did not have a Christmas tree...again, thanks to the Lord's abundant blessings, a sweet friend lent us her tree, lights and ornaments!!! She also gave us a nativity and several other Christmas decorations. God is sooo good!!! I almost chose not to participate in this years Home Tour, but I wanted to share how the Lord has provided for us. We are sooo thankful to celebrate His birth!!!

Sooo, welcome to our temporary home!!!

My little girl took this silly pic to include!!!

First, I would offer you treats!

Christmas Chocolate Bark with whole pistachios and cherries.

My husband named these yummy creations "fancy rice krispy treats"...isn't he creative!

Peppermint bark.

Candied pecans.

I know you have many other homes to visit, so I would fill up one of these totally darling Christmas take out boxes with treats for you!!!

Here is a look at a few of our favorite Christmas things...

Our only Russia souvenir we brought from Russia to share with friends...it now hangs on our tree to remind us of all that wait for us there. It is a painting of a Church in Yaroslavl, Russia where we lived and says "Russia" in Russian on the bottom.

My treasure from an ornament exchange.

An ornament made by our son...I love that his name is upside down!!!

An ornament made by our daughter.

The kids version of Jesus' birth.

A precious treasure made in Sunday School Class.

My most valuable and cherished treasures...my kiddos!!!

Thanks for visiting us...come back ANYTIME!!!

Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year!!!

A look at last year's BooMama's Christmas Home Tour...just in case you still are in the mood to look around!!!

Still here...check-out even more Christmas Home Tours!!!

What lovely goodies you have for us here. It is wonderful to hear about God's provision for your family. You asked me a couple questions on my blog. I am 100% Russian. I had to go to Russian school when I was a child but woe is me my retention and language skills aren't my strong suit!! I'm pathetic but I have a really good accent :0) I have never been to Russia. My parents escaped out of Russia to Iran when they were both young with their separate families. They met and were married in Iran and then immigrated to the U.S. after WWII. I was born in the U.S.
Maybe I'll just come back later and leave a link to a story I posted about how they returned to Russia as missionaries and started a church there....
Blessings on you and your family as you transition back here...

Those treat boxes are cute and I'm having a hard time picking just one. And don't look while I fill it past capacity!!
