Reading Night

Tonight, our school promoted its Annual Book Fair with a Family Reading night.

 

Mrs. Stevens, Emme’s darling Pre-K teacher, did a fabulous job reading Froggy’s First Kiss and there were many other fabulous guest readers.

The 1st Graders were encouraged to dress-up and introduce a book that they have read.

We had recently checked out a cute book called Why Should I Be Afraid?  A knight and his kitty learn to trust God when they are afraid.

Gideon was the brave knight and Emme was the adorable kitty.

We got the book from the library on Wednesday and prepared for his debut on our way to the school!!!

I had no idea that several of the kids had spent a great deal of time in preparation…one boy performed his own one act play!!!  Gideon was so nervous, but did a great job!  When he finished he said, “I never want to do that again!!!” And neither do I!!!

What a fun night!!!
