We said good bye to the horses and headed to Sparta!!! Gid was super excited!!! After a quick lunch and a map search, we located the Archeological Museum of Sparta.
It was super tiny and Emme quickly nominated herself as our Spartan entertainer!
We stayed in a Mountain Resort in a tiny Village just outside of Sparta. FYI~When booking a Mountain Resort in a Village that Map Quest nor Google Maps recognize…you should assume it will me remote and possibly high {very high} in the mountains!!! Our little rented Micra barely made it up the mountain…and let’s just said, I have rediscovered my fear of heights!!!
The views were breath taking…literally!!!
It was immaculate…Emme declared it to be her dream home!!!
The area was covered with flowers, butterflies, lizards, bugs and flying things…our kids are sooo not use to the outdoors!!!
After a fabulous night, the inevitable had to happen…the sun rose, we finished breakfast, got back in the car and headed down the mountain. Going down was a lot less terrifying!!!
