Today started out horrible and progressively got worse. I was able to laugh when all of my make-up went crashing into the toilet, but I could not laugh this afternoon as I read an email that had been forwarded to numerous addresses before finding it way to my Inbox. It was to inform me that I had failed to acknowledge a gift that had been given to us when we moved into our apartment. There is no excuse for not expressing gratitude for one's generosity, love, time and sacrifice. I did try. I made lists, bought cute cards, fun stamps, wrote, stamped, mailed...but, I forgot one person. Many things were given anonymously and, praise the Lord, we were blessed with an enormous overflow of generosity! God blessed us sooo richly that we did not need to purchase one thing for our apartment. However, I overlooked one gift...maybe more, but one that I now know of!
No matter how hard I try to be organized...I am not! No matter how hard I try to remember...I can not! My kids suck of bit of energy I can muster and have scientifically reduced my brain cells. I almost never remember to send Birthday cards, consistantly for get Anniversaries...even my own!!!...and have even acknowledged Christmas at Easter!!!
But today, this email hit me hard. I had offened someone so much, that they shared in their Sunday School Class and was sooo hurt, that it was brought to my attention!!! After calling this person and using up their entire alloted answering machine minutes, I stuffed my face with a PBJ...only to realize I had nothing to wash it down with!!! Sooo, I drove straight to Sonic (breaking my vow to abstain from Diet Dr. Pepper, because it can not be good for you...can it?), with my mouth still full of peanut butter, I mummbled into the intercom, "One Large Blue Coconut Diet Dr. Pepper." I scrounged through the car for change, ripped the drink from the cluthes of the car hop's hands and downed half, before even paying!!! Immediately, I felt better. Thank you Sonic and Diet Dr. Pepper for never letting me down!!! ;-)

Hope this issue gets resolved.
I too turn to Dr. Pepper on bad days.
I'm so sorry that happened to you! Next time, you need a Sonic fix, just blame it on me. You can say, "this is for Deanna who doesn't have Sonic!"
Hope things get better and people become more understanding.
