After a week of unpacking suitcases, organizing, rearranging, cleaning, building-tearing down-rebuilding, we were feeling good about the progress we had made. On Friday, Keith left for Yaroslavl to get the “few boxes” of what remained from the home we left over two years ago. We did not know if we would be able to return to Russia, so all of our furniture and electronics were given to families in the Church, but they kept “a few boxes” of personal items in a friends garage. This morning, after traveling all night long, Keith arrived with a truck full of boxes!!!
My Christmas ornament collection and many holiday things my mom had survived in perfect condition!!! We also had begun a collecting cups from our various travels (since many places do not have Christmas ornaments). I found the cups in a box that’s bottom had busted at some point during the move. Many things had fallen out, but nothing broke! Our cups are in perfect condition!!!
In addition to all of the priceless treasures, I had made a list of things we would need to purchase. After unpacking, the majority of “my needs” were marked off the list…so many things had been returned to us!!!
